I just had a funny thing happen. I was handwritng a note about something and I paused at underlining a phrase I’d just written, deciding to return and underline it later, in case the underlining ran onto words following the phrase that I did want underlined. All this in a split second and all this because I am so used to typing everything these days that the split second thought was totally the thought I’d have if I’d’ve been typing! (Depends of course on how you type – whether you’re from the format as you go school of typing or not). This is just another example of the art of handwriting, complete sentences, spelling and formality going out of modern day communication.
