Cabbage and flatulance

Quick! Turn on the Discovery channel! Adam is in the bath waiting to fart so they can capture it in some kind of elaborate Mythbuster fart-catcher in order to analyse it’s elements. I just don’t believe these guys!!

Lights in the harbour

Saw this sailing boat all lit up sitting in the harbour when we came back into town tonight. Beautiful.

Orange Blob

Someone at work was asking about getting some artwork for the office. After a comment made in jest about the ‘orange blob’ in the office (which I took to mean me much to the embarrassment of the person who made it!) we got together with one of our arty friends with some real canvas, real paint and real hanging picture stuff to create an original. The Mister tracked progress:

Orange rubber

You just never know where you’re going to see some orange – spotted this down the beach.

Mini-break

We’re ‘out of town’ for the weekend – just far enough away so the Mister doesn’t go into work! The weather has finally turned cold so we’re having great fun with bracing walks on the beach and hours in front of the fire watching DVDs.

We also brought a box of food and some pots with us for some experimental cooking and last night’s meal was just divine.

Pesto stuffed chicken wrapped in prosciutto

Saturday papers

Once upon a time the first thing I did when arriving at the cafe for our Saturday morning breakfast was to grab the ‘Indulgence’ section of the Saturday paper and go straight to the back to look at all the photos of the kitties and cast the rest of the paper aside. Then onto the toast with peanut butter and a latte. However with all the happenings at work now, we go in manner of grown-ups to the business section to share prices. The company is not listed yet but we’re learning and practicing where to look just in case! Then to the kitties.

Wind-chill-ometre

Had to grab this screen shot off the metservice website – it’s been off and on over the last couple of weeks and I think it’s fab! I hope it stays for good this time. Choose your town and wa-la:

Shows you the effect the wind chill has on the actual temperature to give you a ‘feels like’ temperature. The layers of clothing bit is not particularly accurate but hey, knowing what it feels like outside means I can make up my own mind.
