The first ever Wellington on a Plate food festival is happening in August. Quite a few events on around town and we’re registering to go to a couple – behind the scenes at Floridita’s Bakery and a tour and show-and-tell in the new Mojo roastery. I know I know. Loyalties are to Fuel and Supreme (and we’re going to a similar thing at Supreme before the festival) but it can’t hurt to see what the competition’s up to!
There’s also a recipe competition and winning recipes will get put on the menu at a well know Wellington restaurant for a week! http://www.wellingtononaplate.com/my-dish Not sure what I could submit … tiramisu, orange kumara bake, kumara feta salad … hmm. They don’t look like much on paper and probably a load of other recipes with similar ingredients (just look how many variations of tiramisu there are out there) but they taste great to us. We’re always sampling tiramisu’s in new restaurants we go to and according to The Mister NONE are as good as mine!
