Hot off the press – Nikau Cafe is set to re-open mid-September! Probably around the week of the 14th. Great news. Apparently kedgeree will still be on the menu, no mention of date scones so will have to get onto them about that!! Yaaaaay!

Saw this old orange rover? on the way to get coffee this morning.

I follow the icanhascheezburger.com website (basically pictures of cats doing funny things that people have added clever captions to) and I have to say over the months of following it I have noticed a large number of photos of wet cats because they’re being bathed. Here’s the one that was on the site this morning:

I have to say, I never ever thought to wash a cat and I don’t remember ever washing any of the family cats we had. They don’t like water and they wash themselves don’t they? Perhaps it’s the long-haired breeds that are being washed (which we never had).  In the wet cat photos they never look as though they are enjoying bath time that’s for sure!
