Yes the name sounds rather small townish and perhaps a tourist trap rather unlikely to serve a decent cappuccino but after wandering up and down the main street of the sleepy town (well, not so sleepy as it was parade day, but sleepy as far as cafes and shops go) I decided to take a chance on the old-train-carriage-dressed-up-as-a-take-out-window.
When I got closer I saw they served Ritual coffee so that was a huge glimmer of hope – bit bubbly because it was just a bit too hot but what a great effort!
And a great spot to watch the 34th Annual Yountville Day parade … a day to be proud to be a Yountvillite judging by the lawn chairs and locals who came out in force to line (just one deep mind you) the main street. There were fire engines, a marching band, old biddy scooters, twirling baton girls, ride-on mowers, flags and old cars. True American dream.
