Odd things you remember

Not dissimilar to one of the McDonald’s ads on TV at the moment, I wonder what bit of important information has disappeared out of my mind so that forever I can store what I need in order to thread a sewing machine. My machine has been in storage for years and for years before that I never used it … about 9 years all up … yet when I got it out to hem up some trousers today I just threaded it up, bobbin and all, first time. Incredible.
