I am NOT watching the 2nd rugby test between NZ & The Lions but I have to admit the atmosphere, even coming out of the telly, from the Wellington Stadium is electric. Visually it’s quite spectacular – a continuation of what we’ve seen around Wellington this week and especially today – a red river meandering through blobs of black. It looks as though there are more Lions supporters at the stadium that NZ’ers and the noise they are making must be deafening. (Speaking of deafening I just don’t understand why my partner doesn’t realise that shouting at the TV is going to make no difference to how the team performs!)
Today we wandered around our gorgeous city – what a day we have turned on for our visitors – I reckon the best time of their whole trip is going to be the visit to Wellington. I’d say every single Lions supporter has not taken off their red gear and they were out in full force today. There was a great atmosphere around the city.
A couple of other sights of note:
Wellington outdoor public car parks jam packed with camper vans –
A ‘Kiwi’ girl in a shop window in body paint – obviously drawing a bit crowd. Feels a bit sick of me to be putting this on my blog but taking the photo was even more wrong –
