It cost me $76.11 to fill up the car at the weekend. Sigh. I *could* swap to a lower octane petrol … but I won’t. I guess the price of petrol is a bit like the price of electricity – if you need to use it, you have to pay whatever it costs. While we can afford it, we are not going to huddle in the cold, do less washing, eat raw food, or walk everywhere because the price of these commodities has risen. I do feel dreadful for those that cannot afford these rises though.
